Below is the recommended route to SDSC. Also see the campus area map and building map.

From Interstate 5:

• Exit Genesee, turn West off exit. (From the south, turn left. From the north, turn right.)
• At the top of the hill, turn left at North Torrey Pines Road.
• At the first light, turn left on Northpoint Drive into the UC San Diego campus.
• Follow Northpoint Drive past the campus Information Booth.
• Continue on Northpoint as it turns right and becomes Hopkins Drive.
• Turn right on Voigt Drive (South of RIMAC and SDSC).
• Enter the Hopkins Parking Structure at the top of the hill (Level 6).

From San Diego International Airport:

• From the airport parking lot, take the Harbor Island, Downtown Exit.
• Follow Harbor Drive (which leads to downtown San Diego) to Laurel Street (on the left).
• Follow Laurel to India Street to Interstate 5 (I-5) North.
• Signs along the way indicate the turns required to reach I-5.

The nearest visitor parking is available at the Hopkins Parking Structure just south of SDSC. Visitors who require hourly or daily parking can purchase pay station permits. See UC San Diego Transportation Visitor Parking for rates and instructions. Also see the campus area map.

To reach SDSC Central and West Building from the Hopkins Parking Structure:

• Cross the footbridge at the northwest corner of Level 7 and turn right in the Social Sciences Building breezeway.
• Turn right on the curved sidewalk to the west entrance to SDSC.

To reach SDSC East Bldg (including Auditorium, Classrooms E-B230/E-B234) from the Hopkins Parking Structure:

• Exit parking to the east via stairs or elevator in the southeast corner of structure.
• Exit structure and turn left past the parking structure. SDSC is next building on the left.

For handicapped parking:

• Continue east past the Information Booth and follow Hopkins Drive as it turns south.
• Pass the RIMAC sports facility (first building on right).
• Turn right into the first driveway (between the RIMAC sports faciliity and SDSC) and go to the top of the hill.
• SDSC and special parking spaces are on the left as available.

To drop off in front of SDSC:

• Continue east past the Information Booth and follow Hopkins Drive as it turns south.
• Pass the RIMAC sports facility (first building on right).
• SDSC is just beyond the RIMAC sports facility. Turn right into the driveway in front of SDSC.

It does change on occasion. The average high temperature stays between the mid-60s and high 70s, with occasional spikes during some months.
